My father-in-law owned a Shopsmith and after his death I purchased it from his wife. I had already retired and wanted to have a hobby. Since my career had been working with people I had little experience working with power equipment so I took advantage of my local community college and attended two woodworking classes which help me to learn how to safely use my power equipment.
