We have the usual amount of electronic gizmos cluttering the place up all with their own chargers, so I had to make a holdall for them just so the mrs could get her work surfaces back.
Made in beech to match the existing kitchen (well it will when it fades a bit)

It has space for 5 all told. We have three assorted kindles and two mobiles.
Theres a 5 way multi charger sitting on top with all the leads at the rear.
4 key hooks on the side, and a drawer in the base for wallets, sunglasses, whatever.

She can make some chocolate muffins now without including a mobile phone it them.

I like working with beech. It cuts nice and is very easy to work. The only downside is the dust is extremely fine and gritty on the hands like dried sand.
Our kitchen doors are all beech faced.
