I am looking for info on where I can locate software for my computor for doing blue printing for cabinet making? (resonably priced) Just some thing that will give me grid lines and measurements. Thanx Restorer
I assume what you're looking for is some type of Computer drafting/drawing program - I work with Autocadd and Microstation basicaly all day (when I'm not goofing off here!). These are fairly expensive (Thousands), powerful programs and require quite a learning curve - not what I assume you're looking for. Maybe take a wander through this link for starters: http://www.broofus.com/construction/cad/index.htm
Also some of the freeware sites will have some drafting programs, but I believe you need to be cautious with what you might download at some of those - not sure what others on this site are using - it's not talked about that much.
Hi Restore, welcome aboard.
I have a professional cabinet design program that is free. Check out http://www.thermwood.com/ and click on eCabinet Systems. It may be just what you are looking for.
This threads sort of running in 2 places now - also in OffTopic - anyway, I'm wondering what others on this forum might be using for plan preparation software.
Received my eCabinet Systems software yesterday.
Played with it this morning, going to take a learning curve for the program, but what I have seen so far it looks to be a awesome program. The price and updates for the software are great......FREE
