I purchased a used router table which came with a Mast-R-Lift and a Rockler Digital Master height gauge, and I can't find any documentation on the Rockler device. It seems to work but there's a probe type attachment that I can't figure out what it's for, although I assume it's for zeroing - see attached picture

Thanks but there is already a rotary encoder mounted on the lift, which is providing lift height movement information - see pic below. There is a cable that links the encoder with the Digital Master

I guess the "spare" probe may be used for measuring the router's RPM?

Maybe?? I couldn't seem to make it do anything
