John made me do it

I have been working on a few projects of my own and since John posted his wildlife sign photos, I thought I would share mine. I have been getting a little more serious lately and hope to be taking a few items to a local consignment shop to get my work out there. Also working on a website. Will probably never be as BIG as John and his Polish Eagles though..

I really like doing these 'fish' paddles and may expand them to other wildlife scenes as well. Despite John's lack luster performance last summer trying to sell some of the earlier designs, I thought I would try as I do live in 'Lakes Country', with more than 400 lakes within 25 miles of my home. I think John probably kept all the paddles he made hidden behind the Polish Eagles.

Thanks to Scott for some of the fish models and all the inspiration. Like John, I will never be a painter, so will just have to work on my finish techniques.

Thanks for looking.

Dave,

You mean "we" have new paddle designs??? You're holding out on me, bro!!

Going to put them out and try again this year. Good thing wood doesn't spoil.

Didn't I give you the credit for the water and tree background I used that you so richly deserved??

Your computer and CNC knowledge has saved my butt more than once, lil Buddy. Hope you're on to something.

We need to go and see Scott for more painting lessons.

Excellent stuff, Dave. I especially like the paddle. Maybe you could also make one with the carving rotated, so the paddle could hang above a door for instance.

That paddle is really great Dave. Almost too nice to actually use.
