Hey all, Great forum glad I found y'all. I am just in the process of restoring an old wallace jointer. I got everything cleaned up nice and was getting ready to replace the blades. However when i took them apart I noticed that one of the blade retainers is cracked and broken. I know they call it a skewed cutter head but I believe it may have been replaced because it has 4 hex bolts to hold it down.
My question is What is the part called that holds the blades down on my cutter head? Is there a way that you can think of to repair or replace this part? I would like one from any jointed that I could possible modify I just am not sure what to get. I would like to avoid getting a new 300$+ head if possible due to budget.
Here is the head that it has on it for reference.
Thanks.
