Just purchased at an estate sale, and while doing a little research, on this 50.00 investment, I found out, the blades are no longer being made. Not surprised. 1991. I did see some threads in regards to find some replacement blades. Don't need them right now, because it has never been used. Any suggestions?
Thand you

Hello Peter , glad you found us, it's great to have you as a member of the community, welcome to Router Forums.
Are the blades able to be resharpened

I found that the cost of just sharpening the knives of my jointer (a Powermatic) were more expensive than just ordering new knives.

Doing the sharpening yourself would eliminate those costs. That's a skill I have yet to achieve.

If they use a clamp bar or jack screws then there is likely nothing special about them. You just find ones that are the same thickness and width and length.

Derek Willis posted a home made planer/jointer knife sharpening jig a few years ago. It was a really simple jig and should be almost fool proof to use. I don't know how hard it would be to find.
