They are like brand new. I wanted to know where I can get another set.

 

what model and size? I got repacements for my Makita 15" planer from amazon ant the pakage said they were for Ryobi....

 

I found that the cost of just sharpening the knives of my jointer (a Powermatic) were more expensive than just ordering new knives.

Doing the sharpening yourself would eliminate those costs. That's a skill I have yet to achieve.

Perhaps just purchase knives that are of the same approximate size? Would this work? Your cutter head will be balanced as long as they are all the same type.

 

If they use a clamp bar or jack screws then there is likely nothing special about them. You just find ones that are the same thickness and width and length.

Derek Willis posted a home made planer/jointer knife sharpening jig a few years ago. It was a really simple jig and should be almost fool proof to use. I don't know how hard it would be to find.
