So Camel Camel Camel alerted me of a price break on a Festool miter saw clamp that usually sells for $90 and advised the $26 price they recorded on Amazon. I order a lot from Amazon, just ask my mail lady. Long story short I got an email today asking that I forgive the vendor, from the vendor, for their mistake and please cancel the order. They listed it at the wrong price and their mistake resulted in over 460 orders even though only 3 were shown as available. I found this very suspicious so I looked at their storefront and everything they list shows only 3 available. Sounds like a scam so I called Amazon and was told not to cancel the order and make the vendor do that themselves. I was told they are trying to circumvent the process of canceling the order themselves thus not getting any black marks from Amazon.
Now I understand mistakes, heck I'm an expert at making them, make it look easy, but after seeing the storefront and every item, being hundreds I looked at having only 3 is way suspicious hence my call. Then I looked at Festool listings they had and was blown away at the ridiculous prices they had which were way over list. After having called what I thought was the hotel where my annual astronomy conference is held and finding out I had actually talked to and made a reservation with someone in Guatemala I've become somewhat paranoid. I managed to straighten out that mess after spending a few hours on the phone between them, the hotel, and American Express but I was flabbergasted that this could happen so easily. And this place in Guatemala is legit but the reservations are paid for in advance. So who knows about this vendor on Amazon? Maybe legit or just another scammer. Hard to tell these days and one reason I like brick and mortar stores. Just for the record they trade under the name GNMart USA. Buyer beware......
