Hi Out There

I'm jgusher and I'm beginning to learn some of the many tricks of the trade using routers. I have recently bought 2 Porter Cable routers, a Dove Tail jig and a router bit set. Made a 12"h x 5"d x 48"w spice rack with drop down door; with dove tail joints. I gave myself an A- on the project. Now I need to find a jig to cut key holes in the edge of 3/4" material. I made a crude jig for the above mentioned project and it worked, but I wouldn't want to have to build that thing every time. Any ideas on how to make/buy such a jig???

Hi jgusher

The best jig I can think of is your router table, just popin the key hole bit set the fence and drop the stock down on the bit push forward just a bit then stop and turn the router off and backup and pull the stock up and your done. :)

Note***if you don't have a router table just popin the fence for your plunge router.

Bj :)
