I can't remember who or in what thread but someone suggested lacquer thinner for cleaning up router bits............ but Thanks..... I had a big mess after routing some pine that was close to fat lighter. It had hardened on the bit the routers moving adjustment parts the base plate and the opening for the guide bushing and after some lacquer thinner a toothbrush a rag and some wd 40 in spots I was good to go.

Ugh that should be the last time for routing the super sappy stuff

Hi Marco

" lacquer thinner" That's a big No No, they make cleaner just for that job and a bit lube to keep it off ..

Lacquer Thinner is VERY,VERY flammable. Read all the label cautions.
