Looking for business to do small CNC job

Hi!
I am in Montana and I'm looking for someone to do a small CNC Router project on one quarter inch MDF. If interested, I can send the DXF file if you can look at it and see if it's something you can do to make this. We'd need 50 to 100 of them cut out. We just need a small amount for some we're looking to sell once created.

Can you provide any further detail? What are the sizes of each piece being cut out?

Welcome to the forum @Mike.Byrnes
Welcome Mike, elusive questions like this, we like to see maybe photos of a completed prototype, or a simple drawing of the concept.

I'll be emailing you tonight Mike, thanks for the message!
John,
That makes sense. I'll post a photo here of what the prototype looks like when finished.

Thanks for the photos, Mike. That's a fairly straight forward project. Looks like a mini-food dispenser for small birds or animals maybe ?
I may be looking at the project from a different direction, but is there any special reason the parts need to be cut by CNC.

They would be simple to cut on a table saw with a tapering jig.

The final project will have tabs so it can snap together and I can't make them on my table saw.

Give some thought to using thin MDF. It has no strength whatsoever, so tabs are easily broken off, and it won't take much to break the slots either. That may not be a problem, but if you sell many and one in 10 breaks in shipping and another one breaks during assembly, you have to work out replacement. That would be a very expensive proposition. Some other material might be a better choice. A decent thin ply would possibly work, or a thin conventional wood material.

It looks a little like a speaker enclosure for the speakers musicians put at the edge of the stage so they can hear the mix.

BTW, welcome to the Forum. Lots of brain power around this joint.
I'm also not a fan of MDF for this project. 1/4" baltic birch plywood, laser cut could make the parts precise and easy to assemble. CNCing with a round bit can't do sharp inside corners for the tabs.

Does it have to be wood? What about using something like acrylic, or Sintra Board (plastic particle board?) or any of a dozen other materials. I have a cnc router table. I could easily make these for you but I also vote NO on particle board for this project.

The new lasers can cut these pieces out of 3mm plywood easily and accurately.

By the way, your photo is missing some dimensions and angles. I could still draw it and make it for you though.

You want tabs? Will these pieces be glued together, or are you wanting a snap together assembly? Will this sit on a table, or hang on a wall, or hang from a wire? It matters with tabs, because tabs rely on gravity to remain in place.

I would like to see the DXF file please.
