I am looking at putting a musclechuck or another brand if you have a suggestion on my Bosch 1617evs. I hope it would be a little easier on my arthritis in my hands..

Some ?s I have

Will it work good on a table mounted router?
Is it easier? My regular chuck can be hard to loosen!
Thanks a bunch in advance!

Hi Michael,
I have a Muscle Chuck in my 1617 Bosch in a Bosch RA1181 table. Works great! Easier bit changes from above with Allen wrench. While I don’t have the arthritis (yet) in my hands I would expect it would be easier than from below.
I had a Extreme Extender that I had in an older Ryobi plunge router but was unhappy with the results- can’t remember exactly why - vibration or extended too far or both?
Anyway It prompted me to upgrade to the Bosch and I think if you stick with Muscle Chuck to fit the 1617 you will be happy.
Best regards,
Wes
