I have been watching Router Workshop on The Woodworking Channel website. I had never had any experience with the Hitachi tool label, and was rather impressed with the router they use on the show. After doing quite a bit of research on this site, as well as others, I decided to purchase a M12V for a table/cabinet I have always wanted to make. LSS, I found a "factory refurb" on eBay, and ordered a phenolic plate from Woodpecker. They both arrived today, and I used this muscle machine to cut out the hole for the plate (using Woodpecker's template and a Whiteside 4K41 (5/8 template) bit). Man, what a machine! I am anxious to contruct my fence, and the drawer unit for the new router cabinet - using the router for it all. Bob and Rick :sold: me on this new addition to my shop. This is the first 1/2 router I have personally owned - hopefully my last. I have ordered two sets of brushes to put back - just in case.
