Hi
I am new to this forum I have built a PrintNC machine and the software I have is Mach3 and a older version of Visualmill. I am having some problems with it.
Is anybody using this combination of software?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
Welcome to the forum.

I would post that question in the CNC section of the forum.

Can you explain more clearly what problems you are having?

I have switched over to Mach3 from Win CNC from my old machine. I have Visualmill 5 that I used with my old machine. I found a post processer for Mach3 on MecSoft website and tried to use it with my new machine and cut a square to check for accuracy and instead of getting square corners it made a radius and also the size was too big by the size of the tool.
I tried to get Metsoft to help me with the problem, but they wanted me to buy new software.
In the tool path window on Mach3 it shows the radius in the display. I didn't go any farther than that.
I think it may be something wrong with the post processer.

If you want get square corners in Mach3,
Edit the g-code file
Use G61 to turn OFF constant velocity mode and run in Exact Stop mode.
(G64 will turn constant velocity mode back ON)

There is a setting in Mach General Config - that allows you the specify what angle that Mach will automatically switch to exact stop - try setting it to 90 degrees.
