Yes you can..IT sounds like the table is already made..if so you will need to take the router plate out and take the base plate off your Router. You will need to centre the base plate on the router plate and bore new holes.Its important that you get this centred.
if you are making a table..some people buy 3/8 lexon and use it for a router plate..Or you can buy one, like the one freud makes.
Thank you for your reply, I just wanted to make sure that I wasnt doing anything that would potentially be dangerous to myself or damage my router. I will probably have more and more questions in the future so I am glad you are here to help me. And all of the other more experienced wood workers.
