As the title suggests, below is a transom windows made from two existing sashes. It was made for a garage, so I made it water tight and mostly draft proof only.

First note on design: When I made this, I forgot one important point: to glue up the sill on an incline. The rabbet on either side of the frame should have been cut off 90 degrees. I didn't realize this until the end. I planed down the sill a bit to give it some taper post facto.

The whole window was made from 2x4s and some pine trim boards (and 2 old sashes).

Phillip, Nice catch/fix on the sill and I see you cut a drip groove on the bottom of the sill to stop water from weeping under the sill. It looks High Class!
