Rick, I have the sneakin' suspicion that the world will have moved on to something new by the time you get up and runnin'. Just a hunch, mind you, I was wrong once before.
Well your not totally off base lol. I doubt very much it will be running in 2020

The YouTube video of your post leaves out the fact that one of the curved ends cannot be used with a flush trim bit. In this case, I flipped the insert end-for-end when routing the second curved end.

If you search routerforums.com for "zero clearance insert", a number of other threads will be found. A good one is

Even though I used good quality baltic birch plywood for my shop built inserts, there were some issues with the throat plate not being flat.
