Say hello to my little friend, no I’m not referring to Tony Montana’s machine gun, I’m referring to Makita’s BDF451 1/2 inch 18V LXT Lithium-ion Driver Drill Kit. This innocent looking driver drill delivers an astonishing 560 in-lbs of torque which is like a beast inside a very tiny machine considering that the Makita is only 9-7/8” in length and weights only 4.9lbs. It has a three speed driver system which is very effective and with Makita’s shift lock system you can quickly change between the settings from hammer drill to driver mode, how cool is that! =)

Makita’s Ergonomic shape fits like a glove with even pressure and easy control, allowing its user to easily complete the job without putting muscle in it! 3-Speed design produces 25% faster working speed with more efficiency in a wider range of applications. LXT Lithium-Ion provides longer run time, 5x lower self-discharge (for use any time) and 16 firm holding contact terminals (for constant high power). Also the Makita BDF451 comes with Two built-in L.E.D. lights for more illuminated work.

45-minute Optimum Charger has a built-in fan to cool the battery to produce more lifetime work. Two-piece armature and field along with externally accessible brushes for serviceability and longer motor life. Makita BDF451 comes with a 3-Year warranty as well.

But this 300 bucks will get you a drill that will stay with you for ages, and will get the job done in less time plus will increase your accuracy as well! so i think its a good bargain for the price =)

Hi Mike

Makita
" drill that will stay with you for ages" very true I must have 8 Makita drills in the drawer that I will have forever with many dead battery's to go with them...:( not to say anything about all the flashlights and other Makita blue junk (battery chargers) etc., the only Makita tool I have working is a 4 1/2" side grinder that I had to by pass the switch to keep it working in a small chop saw with in line switch.
