The Metabo HPT 36V MultiVolt™ Cordless Plunge Router. Does anyone have any experience with this cordless router that can use router bits with 1/2 inch shafts? The plunge depth seems a bit short at just under 2 inches but otherwise seems like a very useful router.

I am not familar with that router.
Would a 1/2 router bit chew tha batteries?
I don’t know how long this router has been available. It seems an earlier version was available in 2020. It uses a 36 V battery and says the battery lasts “all day” so I’m sure that comparisons in which bits identical except for shaft size would show the smaller shaft bit allows longer use but there are a great many bits available only in larger shaft sizes.
