If anyone has a model A, cat. 680 Millers Falls router, could you tell me the size-thread for the collet nut? I have aquired one, motor works fine but the collet and nut are missing. Perhaps someone might know of a current day manufacturer with a compatible nut. Thanks in advance!

that router is in the vintage class of tools...
ebay may be your only hope..

using a thread gauge would give you the thread count diameter...

Hi Les and welcome. You have to match thread pitch and shaft diameter on the nut and cone diameter and taper. I think most or all router makers these days source them out. I don’t know if that was the case that long ago or not. You could try looking at elaire.com and look through their offerings and see if one looks like yours. If it looks like it then chances are good that it is. I was looking through them and saw that a Bosch WK series looks exactly like the one for my DeWalt 610 model.
