It would be a lot easier to get in a plug-in speed control at Harbor Freight. I did that with my variable speed Hitachi MV 12 when the speed controller burned out.

So you're suggesting I would bypass the "electronic feedback module" in the router and wire the power cord directly to the motor? I'll have to think that one over a bit, but thanks for the suggestion.

Yes exactly. That is what I did. The speed controller they sell at HF is the exact one they sell at MLCS only much cheaper.
