Whether you use any bearings, see to it that what you are taking in your router is of superior quality. Just remember that bearings must be kept clean and well-oiled to sustain their long-term performance. :)

@Roberthan,
the bearings used on router bits are generally sealed types, and some are tiny. I understand the cleanliness point, but is it even possibly to oil them?

I've never improved a tight bearing on a router bit by oiling, replacements are readily available in lots of sizes with 1/4" and 1/2" centre holes
