I need to mortise several joints on a walnut coffee table I am making. Don't have a mortising machine but do have a router and a router table. This is the first time to try to mortise, I have used my router a few times, but am primarily a hobbyist focusing on wood turning. I will look at the videos but does anyone have experience mortising and some hints. Thanks Ric :fie:

I have not used a router to cut a mortise, but it is very common.

I use a Beadlock to cut my mortises.

I have not used a drill press - I use a corded power drill.

I don't think it is any easier, cutting mortises with a router and a template/jig is also easy.
