Hello group! I joined to see if I could find some guidance on installing a router under my sawstop PTS extension table. Any and all advice is welcome! Mainly I'm looking for recommendations of stuff I can buy to help with this -- insert to mount the router on, and examples of how it's been done by others.

I'm a 68 year old architect and long time woodworker -- everything from whole kitchens to furniture, to toys. Just love tinkering in the shop! Recently traded my 1972 rockwell contractor type saw for a new Sawstop, mainly so I could collect sawdust from it, not because I did not love the Rockwell. On that saw I had a shop-made wood extension for the router-- one hunk of solid maple with the bottom routed to receive the router, and pockets for the bolts that held it to the table - very simple and cheap. 40 years later I'm spending money on stuff I used to improvise -- a trend tool sellers are so obviously aware of!
