Nice shop. Curious on the age of the house--not many stone basements built in the last 100 years!! Has to help deaden the sound.

I like that idea also. Your own design or are there plans available? I have a limited amount of space so that would be great.

Thanks...yeah my design, 3/4" MDF, 2x4's, glue, 2 1/2" drywall screws in 2x4 material, I glued and bradnailed the top down, drilled 3/4" dog holes and they hold too, ha...I think it's 4'x6', open bottom so I can put 2 bins for scraps and a floor shop vac underneath.

Nice shop, clean and well lit.

 

Very nicely laid out shop. I have more room but it's unheated so today it was below freezing AGAIN! I had to bring everything into the house for glue-up. I envy you your basement shop this time of year.

it has some ins and outs but it's about 14'x25', thanks

 

the shop stays around 55deg, I'm in New England.
I have a tower elect. heater, I turn on 1-2 hours before I go in, It stays 60deg all day in winter, and in summer I have an A/C stays 70deg.

 

I have a (old as house) 1890's, 6 car (12 horse, ha) Garage, well built of Granite, I plan to take back half (apprx. 18' x 30') and level out the floor with framing and in-floor heating. Then frame the interior with spray foam insulation added.
I'll have to have Elect service and plumb it...
So, it's a big investment...
Soon maybe.
I'l be able to do all the good in floor dust collection and wiring to machines, with a separate D/C room and a finish room hopefully.
