I bought this table to have a flat surface to work on and hold wood while I work. I installed 4 drawers that I can pull out from either side to put junk in. On the end of the table, I fixed it so I could hold boards on edge to do whatever needs to be done. So far I have enjoyed having a table that is flat so I don't have to use my table saw.
The end is made two pieces of 3/4" ply (the good stuff) that are glued together so it's 1 1/2" thick. I sawed it in half so I could drill the holes with my drill press.
