Hello.

I would like to cut some dovetails with my router and jig. I have a Craftsman dovetail jig, model 315.25791. Unfortunately, the jig comes with 2 guides that are for use with routers that use a 3-hole template guide mount. Ironically, my Craftsman plunge router does not have a 3-hole mount; nor does the Craftsman adjustable base set that I purchased really work with the dovetail jig. I would just like a simple router that has this 3 point mount capability without the need for a special base. I'm currently looking at the Porter Cable 9690LR, but of course, the box doesn't really show the router base to see if it will take the 3 point guide. Help please!

Kurt, find yourself an old used Craftsman router and you can use the plastic guide bushings. A better choice is the brass style guide bushings that fit most routers. All you need is the same OD.
