Need help with Ryobi R161

This may be super basic but I am brand new to suing a router. I inherited this old router from my dad and it mounted to table saw. I have it plugged into the table saw. Is there way to have the router stay on when I flip the saw switch or do I need to manually hold the trigger down? It seems clunky to only be able to use one hand to feed the wood through.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
G'day @Sandbergs6 , welcome to the forum.

I am not a fan of this method, but the manual says to use the "Lock on" button in those cases...
