The 1617 is an excellent choice if you plan on using it for table and handheld. There have been a few bad reviews on the Colt but most have been positive. Pat Warner also recommended the Ridgid trim router and quite a few of us have the DW611 which is a bit bigger than the Colt and comes as a plunge/fixed combo.
