I have a Craftsman router model 315.17480 and i'm looking for a substitute part for collet nut 1-606489-04. Inside tread is UNF 5/8"-18 the collet hole is about 3/8". The outside diameter was I think 7/8".

Hi Bob. Welcome to our little corner of the 'net.

Not sure how much luck you will have finding parts for your router. Sears are not big on parts availability for older routers. They had so many different companies making product for them... if you could determine the manufacturer you might be able to source one from them. I think someone here had a list of manufacturers based on the model numbers, maybe they will pop in here.

You could also keep an eye on Kijiji or Craigslist to see if someone has a broken one they are selling that you could scavage for parts.

You can find a pdf of the manual here if you don't have one: craftsman-315-17480

Thank you all. I made the part my self, from a part of a slide hammer puller. I left the info on the board.
