Here is next part customer bought a magazine rack . We mounted the new shelf above the rack. His wife is confined to her recliner to do her puzzles with storage for cup and drawers for pencils and things.

Depending on the wife that could be a good trade. I couldn't resist either.

Did the customer want the asymmetry the drawers add? Just curious because that does make the project more eye catching. Asymmetry is a tricky thing. Done well it's adds interest. Done poorly it just looks weird.
