My name is Pat. I'm a mechanical designer currently designing refinery equipment although I have a varied background ranging from rebuilding helicopters to field engineering. I've had a home sawmill in the past when I lived in the country. I moved to town a few years ago and went on the road for awhile doing contract work. Now that I'm back in a "regular" job and home every day, I'm playing with my old toys more. I'm 46 and I don't plan on making money or a career out of it, but I love quick small projects. I recently bought a log tenon cutter and got some cedar logs from a guy on Craigslist. Now I'm rebuilding an old playground in my back yard.
