New Member Account Restrictions

First of all, welcome to the community, glad you decided to join us! You may have noticed by now that there are a few restrictions placed on your newly registered account. Below I'm going to list the restrictions that you are affected by if your post count is below 10.

  • You are unable to share links (ex; http://www.domain.com) or using the URL bbcode.
  • You are unable to share images via IMG bbcode or by linking directly to the image.
  • You are unable to use the private messaging system. You can recieve private messages, although you will be unable to respond to them.
  • You are unable to setup a signature.
  • You are unable to set your Homepage URL in your profile.
  • You are unable to edit any of your posts. Once you click the "Submit" button on a new post or thread it cannot be changed by yourself. If you want to edit a post and you may request assistance from a member of the Moderation Team via our contact form: Router Forums - Contact Us (you must include a reason and a link to the post / thread). Note: Once you have more than 10 posts you will be permitted to edit your posts for 7 days.

Once you reach 10 posts in the community the above restrictions will be LIFTED FROM YOUR ACCOUNT. You will no longer be affected by them.

We have these policies in place to deter unwanted spam and messages being posted on RouterForums.com. 10 posts is a very small amount, if you feel it's too much effort required to browse and contribute 10 posts to the community then you can do without the special access mentioned above.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us via our contact form and we'll do our best to assist you. Welcome to RouterForums.com and enjoy the community! :)
