Good day to all. I'm another new forum member from Tennessee. Not an entirely new woodworker but lack many router skills still and this forum appears very well attended on that tool and others, a welcome resource indeed. Looking forward to a continuous variety of subjects to digest and learn from!

welcome to the forums N/A....

you can get a jump on the learning curve w/ router here at this link...

enjoy...
Welcome to the forum! Add your first name to your signature line to clear the N/a in the side panel and so we'll know what to call you.

We like photos so show us your shop, tools, projects, etc. whenever you're ready.

Glad to see you joined the fun. Stick's pdf collection is a good read that should help you get a handle on routing. I live in Commiefornia and have thought several times about moving to Tennessee. It's a beautiful state.
Hi, where in Tennessee? It is a long, narrow state, so it is difficult to determine your proximity to me using only the state name. Ahhh... I see, Knoxville, TN in your profile. Okay!

Joe (in Franklin, KY)
Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Dave - I will post some pix of a few worthy pieces on my home computer.

Tom - we have some friends from your area here - cost of living is about as good as it gets. The Smokies are divine in the spring.

Hello Hobbyist - going to the Shaker village in Harrodsburg the spring to study up on their furniture and more.

I'll get on the Stick ASAP too. Just got the Bosch RA1181 table for my EV1617 router. Got a lot of homework to do...

Thanks all!

Hi Bstrom and welcome. This is called the Routerforum but it's pretty hard to build anything with just a router and besides we love tools. Any and all of them so if you want to talk about any of them, power or hand tools, jigs, work methods, or anything else woodworking then feel free to do so.

Hello and welcome to the router forum :)
Welcome to the forum N/a
Welcome from SE TN. Knoxville is about 75 miles from me. Great folks here!

DRT, the house next door is for sale. You would have a great neighbor who wouldn't need to borrow a router. FWIW, our economy is booming. Cleveland is one of the fastest growing cities in the USA.

What an incentive! As a native NewYorker with over 30 years of TN residency, I fully agree. Great weather. Great people.
G'day Brian, welcome to the forum..

Welcome to the forum Brian. Tennessee isn't too far from my central Virginia location.

Mark,
I just attended my first meeting with the local woodworkers group. Working full time so not nearly enuf time to devote to shop time but somehow things get made. I don’t turn wood yet but will keep you in mind if I ever do. Thanks for the invite....
G'day Brian, welcome to the forum..
Hey James! (That’s how we say hello in Tennessee...)
Sorry to hear about all that wood burning down your way. Hope they get it under control soon and you’re not in any danger...
