Aloha from Hawaii. I'm new to this forum and can see that there are some very nice and helpful people here. I look forward to getting information and tips as I explore woodworking. I don't want to sound greedy, it's just I don't have enough experience to offer any help :-(. I came across this forum from watching Rick & Bob on the "the woodworking channel". Cool stuff. Aloha and Mahalo!
Welcome Simon! Everyone contributes to this forum, sometimes in ways they never considered. It would be nice to hear about your local selection of woods. I wish I had a source for monkeypod. Watch out for the menehunes!
Aloha Simon. Welcome to the forums and our ever expanding group. Mike is right, you never know what might help others. You might ask a question (that someone else is to shy to ask) and the answer you get back helps them also. Glad to have you with us. Aloha.
Thanks for welcome guys. Monkeypod is popular, but not as much as Koa. Koa is in high demand here. We can pay as much as 40.00 per bd ft. That's for the curly stuff. I seen this jewelry box mase from Mango, WOW was it nice. Thanks again for the welcome.
