Hello all,
I'm fairly new to woodworking, with most of my experience being with construction and home improvement types of projects. I recently got a router and some guide bushings to use to mill the mortises on an interior door replacement project that I'm working on. While using the simple mortising template jig that I made for the doors I started wondering about other possible uses for my new router and bushings...and the next thing I new I was here browsing your forum!

This looks to be a great site with a lot of knowledgable and helpful members. The little bit of browsing that I've done has already given me a lot of really slick ideas that I would have never thought of on my own!

Thanks,
Greg

Hello and welcome Greg.
I also got my start building new homes and renovations.
One thing i have found is a router will make most everything look 100% better.
Hi Greg and welcome. You might want to do a search on this site for anything from Template Tom and harrysin. These two Aussies are wizards with templates and have a unique method you might be interested in. Also check Routerforums.com Blogs and look at Tom's blog titled "Get More from your Router", and while you are there look at Mike's blog titled "Sawdust dreams".
Hello Greg. Thanks for joining our Router Forums. If you haven't seen "The Router Workshop" you have missed Bob and Rick. These two can make anything with a router. If you haven't seen our hero's, go to "thewoodworkingchannel.com". They have segments on the wood working channel. You can get an idea of what all can be done with your router. So, welcome to the forums. Enjoy and be "SAFE."
Hello and welcome to the Router Forums.
