Hello,
I am simon, from the uk and want to build my own guitars. i bought a cheap lidl router for £29 and a few bits and started routing.
routing seems like a very quick way to create something complex and a quick way to make a really nasty mess. i am learning more about the latter, mostly by experience, well, all by experience.

hello,
electric, baretta by kramer. its an odd shaped strat played by ed van halen and satchel from led panther. i am making it from an old oak worktop i got from a tip. its a practice piece. when i get good at making bodies without tearing it to bits i will spend some money. its tricky i will admit. but a learning experience. there is a lot to be said for planning and procedures. i sort of dived in and learning to use epoxy to fill holes. it does not look good. but i think the finish should hide a lot of the mistakes.
