New to Routing

Hi, Just got a Bouch 1617EVSPK router kit. Can't waite to get started using it. Have been doing woodworking for a while now but had never bought a router. Have a Scrollsaw, table saw, bandsaw, couple of Drill presses and most of the small power tools. So I will be asking one dumb question after another, so please bear with me.

Welcome Sid. I also have a pair of 1617's. You will find that table mounting the fixed base is the way to go. Height adjustments are quick and easy. No fooling around with the plunge base springs like most brands. By the way, the November 2004 issue of Wood magazine picked this combo as the best deal going. Look forward to seeing your posts.

hi sid: i purchased several of the router workshop books by bob and rick at the toronto workshop show .they have great projects.
