Welcome Kevin

Glad to see another Canuck on board!! :D :D

I am assuming you are following a Router Workshop instructions for cutting the hole for the base plate.

The guide bushings for most routers bases are 1 - 3/16" dia and available at most tool stores, however the best ones I have found, are available from Lee Valley, who carry both the 1 - 3/16" & 1 - 3/4" guide bushings and inserts.

Also available at Oak Park ( http://ca.oak-park.com/catalogue.html )

Check your router base plate to ensure that these guide bushings will fit your router. Sears and Bosch routers both use different guide bushings!!

If you are not following a set instructions for cutting your table top, check out other methods in previous posts on this subject.

I hope this helps you complete your project!

Kevin, Rousseau sells a mounting plate installation kit that includes a template, guide bushing with removeable collar and other needed items. This kit requires the use of a 1/2" straight or spiral plunge bit. This template will work with all 9" x 12" plates. Rousseau also sells centering kits to help ensure proper alignment of your router in the plate.(Works with 1-3/16" openings)
If you have questions about the different styles of guide bushings see the post: Guide bushing identification under General Routing.
