I'm a new to woodworking participant here and have a need for routing with my current project. I have a craftsman 320 router and was going to round off a corner of a 4X4 and discovered that the plastic base of the router doesn't let me retract the router to where I'm only using the round cutter since I don't want to have that lip at the top... just a smooth larger radius (I'm assuming here) as compared to the 1/4" roundoff...
Am I to assume that the plastic base is removed when you use this large cutter?
