Thank you

Welcome to the forum, Todd! Add your first name to your profile to clear the N/a in the side panel. Add your location, as well.

I know they're great machines and if we had room for one that's probably what I would have gotten back when I was shopping. Instead I chose to build a 2x4 because that's all the room we have in our little shop.

Welcome to the forum. I could have almost helped you with this query, but I opted out .
Was going to buy a used 4x4 Stinger 2 , and after a lot of research I suspect their built like a tank .
My only beef is that huge enclosure mounted at the front, as thats probably where I’d like to stand on occasion.
Imo I wouldn’t be interested in the older models that only used one stepper for the Y axis . Although they say it was one fine having one stepper on one side of the gantry , later models incorporated 2.

The CAMaster forum was really friendly and helpful . I couldn’t get over how quickly they responded, so I think you’ll have a lot of support
Welcome to the forum, Todd!
Sorry I have virtually no experience with these small CNC's.

Stingers aren’t very small lol. Like I say, my only beef is that control box. I was going to try and relocate it on a wall or something. I think that’s a terrible place to locate it

Small is a relative term. I am working on moving our current CNC which has a footprint of 7 feet by 19 feet to add a new one that has a footprint of 9 feet by 23 feet and cost nearly $300,000.
Welcome to the Router Forums Todd! I think you would be happy with the CAMaster, one of my customers has one and he really likes it. His only complaint was the bed, they provided MDF with T-track. The t-track pulled up so I suggested replacing the screws with small bolts with nuts and he has not had any more problems pulling the T-track lose.

Welcome to the forum Todd and I hope you enjoy your stay with us.
There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum.

I hope to have a CNC router some day. Time is getting closer.
Cheers, Tom.
