They are selling the 3HP VFD kit for about 300% of market equivalent.i have called next wave and unfortunately they won't sell me the cable and wont give the pinout. Best i can tell they are using a RS485 Serial interface using RS+ ,RS- and GND on the VFD but for the life of me i cant figure out the dada pins. i am honestly considering removing their controller and installing an openbuilds Blackbox X32 controller. i can't stand how hard it is to customize with accessories.
Why would they sell you just a cable?
I had wanted to buy a "CNC Shark" Router years ago from Carbatec in Australia.
Luckily, I am now using a MACH3 system.
(I think the Next Wave CNC controller is/was based on GBRL. So until HD5 Series, they cannot support VFD interface because GBRL was for hobbyists. I am guessing their HD5 is probably using the ARM CPU version of GBRL controller whereas the earlier series were using Arduino based GBRL controller.
I may be wrong).
