Oak-Park baseplate for PC7518

Hey guys,

I am planning on buying a Porter Cable 7518 router and would like to be able to mount it in a table. This is an obviously big, heavy router. Before I get an Oak-Park baseplate for it, I want to make sure the baseplate can handle the weight and power of the router. Or do you have a recommendation for a better brand of baseplate?

Hi Drick:
I have a PC7539 mounted on an Oak-park base plate and it is just fine. It's plenty strong enough. The problem with the PC7539 in the Oak-Park table was that I had to remove one hanle to make it easier to get in and out. But you may not have that problem with the PC7518. Good luck with it.. I've also used a PC7539 mounted on an Oak-park base plate, worked pretty good for me.
