Hey guys,

I am planning on buying a Porter Cable 7518 router and would like to be able to mount it in a table. This is an obviously big, heavy router. Before I get an Oak-Park baseplate for it, I want to make sure the baseplate can handle the weight and power of the router. Or do you have a recommendation for a better brand of baseplate?

Hi Drick:
I have a PC7539 mounted on an Oak-park base plate and it is just fine. It's plenty strong enough. The problem with the PC7539 in the Oak-Park table was that I had to remove one hanle to make it easier to get in and out. But you may not have that problem with the PC7518. Good luck with it..
