I had to use longer ones... std 1/4 x ?? Easy to find... had them on hand... I needed longer ones to get through my top... No problem...

 

Just use a regular bolt? Seems like it was something different from a regular bolt.

SB, try contacting OP. They may be able to send or sell you the machine screws.
Otherwise, pick up some 1/4" or 5/16" machine screws so the heads will "sit" properly in the recessed holes in the spacers.

 

I actually was referring to the nuts. Wing nuts? Hex nuts?

They are wing nuts Steve, makes it easy to tighten and loosen etc.

Yep, they are wing nuts... But, I'm going to make larger KNOB that can hit the bolt end easier than messing with that small wing nut.

The bolts also must have V heads so they can go into the jigs OK... countersunk.
