Some time back I glued a stack of blocks together and promptly set them aside for another day. On discovering the same the other day I thought, now what? For lack of a better design I decided to work off the “Fancy Keepsake Box” from the December 2015 issue of Woodworker’s Journal. Perhaps “off of” is a bit of an overstatement but......
The original design was cut out on the bandsaw and the Ridgid oscillating belt sander finished the sides. The small piece of ply was set to the appropriate offset with a Wixey and the grid lines were there to keep the piece square to the belt. The small holes in the top contained the button magnets to secure the top. The finish was Briwax.
