I have an old (late 60’s early 70’s) Craftsman Radial Arm Saw, Rockwell wood lathe, and an Atlas Power King 4 inch jointer. All are in fair shape but would need to be refurbished. The wood lathe comes with a full set of tools and a table-mounted grinder with attachment for sharping the tools. These are classic pieces of equipment that just have not been used in about 10 years. Inherited from father and would keep and refurbish myself but moving and just do not have the space. If anyone near the Fredericksburg area is interested, will entertain all offers.

And where would this be shipping from? I'm thinking that cast iron jointer has some mass to it, so it would be a bit to ship cross-country, if needed. What is the weight of what is still there and how complete is it?

In 1949 their jointer was a 4 1/2" and in 1950 they went to a 4" jointer. I believe it was about 140 pounds without the motor.

I see those (1949-1952) with the original 1/2hp motor , original manual and steel stand (which that is missing), working/running, sell for around $50.00. (do an online search and see for yourself...) How much were you thinking on selling yours for?

The OP said Fredricksburg in his post but didn't say which State. I can think of several Fredricksburgs. There's one in Virginia, Maryland, Texas, and I'm sure there are more. These would not likely be worth the cost of packaging and shipping, so the OP will need to provide more information about where he is located.

Virginia

The tools are actually in King George Virginia, which is right next to Fredericksburg Va. I thought that this forum was for wood working enthusiast in the Fredericksburg Va area. Sorry for that. You are correct; it would cost more to ship than they are worth. My intentions are to find someone local. The tools are really still in good condition, very little surface rust. They just have not been used in years and would need to be refurbished to bring back to life. I really hate to get rid of them because they just don’t make them like this anymore, just don’t have the space.
