had some left over materials from some poker table builds so I slapped together a side table for the wife's reading chair, although the top is the new rage of being padded it is however padded with extremely high density foam so the top is extremely hard. Dark Mocha stain matches the leather top.

That looks great. The upholstery looks good. How did you get the legs that shape? Did you cut them that way, or bend them?

Very stylish, but I cant get my head around a padded table (lol)
thanks, its almost like an optical illusion, it looks soft as a padded area but 80%+ of the top is almost rock hard. any type of beverage container can sit on it perfectly fine......

Nice work, Tony! Is it top heavy or is that the lens distortion making the bottom seem so much smaller than the top? Based on the glass appearing to be on a fair angle I would guess it's the converging verticals and perspective rather than the top being that much larger than the bottom.

thanks actually it is not top heavy, the base weighs more than the top. the base is a double plate, 12" and a smaller 9.5" giving a total thickness of 6/4 (or six quarter) the top is 18.5" dia. but is only 1/2" thick piece of plywood and then 2.5" thick foam.
