I have a Rockler "large" plate and the plate has 3 pin positions. The closest pin position is 2 1/2 inches from the center of the router shaft. The other 2 pin positions are 5 inches from the center of the router shaft and are on opposite sides of the plate. The pin is a threaded 1/4" post (or bolt) with 20 tpi thread. I've attached a picture with the pin holes darkened in black so you can see them. They are parallel to the front edge of the plate.
