I just finished one for my church. My pastor had an idea what he wanted. I build it first out out partical board to make sure the dimentions were correct. After a couple tweeks to the design, I put the design into Excel. It turned out better than I thought and a lot heavier than I imagined. I am now looking for ideas to build a matching communion table.
When I put the plans into Excel, I drew the pieces I needed to cut and entered the dimensions relative to several change points. For example - if I changed the height or angle, all the pieces would automatically change size to match the new height or angle.
I'll have to wait till I have 10 posts before I can add pictures.
