Porter cable 890 series Model 8902 type 2 router
Does anyone know how I can bypass my Porter cable 890 series Model 8902 type 2 speed control so it can run full speed and later put a speed controller on it?

I did just that and it worked. Thanks. But I do need a aftermarket speed control. Will any speed control work now that I have the speed control board out? If your router turns on then any brand controller should work. Harbor Freight has raised their prices but you can get the identical one on Amazon for about the same cost or more depending on the seller. If you have a coupon for Harbor freight then it will still be cheaper and if you don't like it simply take it back. No shipping hassles.I did just that and it worked. Thanks. Thanks to you guys I fixed my router. I highly appreciate the help!!! I bought it in an auction on eBay for $130. I spent $10 at a local repair shop to see what the issue was and then I found you guys. The shop didn’t know anything about bypassing the speed control. Thanks!!Welcome to the forum Jae.
